Secretary Blinken’s Travel to Arizona – United States Department of State

Secretary Blinken will travel to Tucson and Sedona, Arizona on May 3, 2024. In Tucson, Secretary Blinken will visit the Tucson Passport Center, where he will inspect operations and later meet with Western Passport Center staff. Secretary Blinken will then visit an emergency call center where he will speak with Tucson Mayor Regina Romero and health and law enforcement officials about the impacts and challenges of fentanyl and other synthetic drugs in the Tucson community.

In Sedona, Secretary Blinken will chair the McCain Institute’s 2024 Sedona Forum. He will participate in a conversation with US Senator Mitt Romney (Utah) on Friday evening, May 3. Senator Romney and Secretary Blinken will discuss current U.S. foreign policy, including the Secretary’s recent trip to China and the Middle East.
