“It’s been really fun spending time together. The Olympic gold medalist shared that before her retirement, she made a list of things she wanted to do — which she and Dobrev, 35, are now making their way through.
“It’s been fun,” White said, noting that most things are traveling “for fun” rather than for work. “We went to Antarctica, Dubai, visited his mother in France, went to Monaco, went to Indonesia,” he said. “We’ve kind of done everything.”
White said another item on the bucket list has been “connecting with friends.” He is also enjoying being around for the “little things” after so many years of hectic schedules and intense training sessions.
“I want to be around for Thanksgiving, I want to be around for Christmas, I want to be around for people’s birthdays, holidays,” he explained. “It’s like those little things that you leave aside when you’re completely focused on the task at hand, which was competing.”
While White is no longer competing herself, she and Dobrev are together since 2020Still planning to make my way Paris for the Olympics this summer.
“That’s the plan,” White shared, adding that Dobrev actually speaks “pretty fluent” French. “By saying this she will start hating me. his mother lives in a city [in the] In the south of France. It’s like the most beautiful place.”
Although he’s excited to watch the Summer Olympics with his girlfriend, White admitted that watching it still gives him some FOMO.
“The tension that’s there in the Olympics, it’s like you feel it. It’s a thick kind of air,” he said. We, “When you go to a stadium where they’re competing, you feel that kind of pressure and excitement.”
In addition to working on her bucket list during her retirement, White has also teamed up with CVS to promote her new snack line, Well Market.
“I love CVS. It’s a lot of fun. …It’s a one-stop shop for everything,” he explained. “When I got the call that they were launching this line of delicious snacks and beverages I said, ‘This is awesome.’ And they sent me the products and I said, ‘This isn’t just a normal line of snacks.’ A lot of things are really well thought out.”
