Roger Carstens, the Special Presidential Envoy for Hostage Matters, will visit Doha, Qatar from May 20-22. Ambassador Carstens will deliver remarks and participate in a panel titled “Impacts of Hostage Taking by State and Non-State Actors” at the Global Security Forum. While in Doha, Ambassador Carstens will also meet with Qatari and other attending government representatives and civil society groups to discuss wrongful detention and hostage issues.
