Syracuse football scholarship tracker for 2024 season

Syracuse football has been busy in the recruiting process, adding 25 high school/junior college players to their roster for the 2024 season and with 15 more incoming transfers so far. Additionally, several more players have entered the transfer portal during the spring window, while several others have been left off the spring roster. With all the turnover over the past few weeks, including Syracuse adding several high profile transfers, where does this leave the Orange in terms of available scholarships? Here is our overall description.

Upcoming 2024 Recruitment: 25

Total: 84

NCAA limit: 85

For full details on the above numbers, including a full list of players in each category and scholarship details by position, that is also listed below.

Keep in mind, the portal window is currently open till April 30. By that point, more Syracuse players could be gone. If that happens, it will open up scholarships for the Orange to look to for transfers from other schools to complete the roster. It has already been reported that Syracuse is attempting to transfer Alabama defensive back Terrence Howard, who is scheduled to take an official visit next week. If more players leave, it certainly allows Syracuse to pursue other options and improve their roster. The Orange have done a good job to this point, as the roster is vastly improved from a year ago, including significantly more depth at key positions. It wouldn’t be surprising if a few more players enter the portal before the window closes.
