Golden Bachelor Stars Gerry Turner And Theresa Nist The divorce has been settled.
According to court documents obtained by ET, Turner and Nist reached a settlement in Pike Circuit Court in Indiana on June 4. The nine-page document states that the former couple married on Jan. 4, 2024, and “resided together as husband and wife until April 12, 2024, at which time irreconcilable differences arose between the parties which have resulted in their separation to date.”
Court documents state that both parties have entered into a written agreement that settles all disputed issues arising from the divorce. They have also agreed to avoid a final hearing and requested that the court issue a divorce order in this manner, meaning they are one step closer to finalising their divorce.
This update comes just two months after the announcement made by Turner and Nyst. good Morning America They were planning to divorce after just three months of marriage. The former couple got married at a televised ceremony on ABC in early January opening session Of The Golden Bachelor,
“Theresa and I have had several heart-to-heart talks and we have taken a close look at our situation, our living situation, etc., and we have come to the conclusion that it is probably time for us to end our marriage,” Turner said, sitting next to Nist and holding her hand.
As for the reasons for their divorce, Turner vaguely stated, “What struck me most in our conversations is how devoted we both are to our families… I think we both felt it was best for the happiness of both of us to live apart.”
He stressed that he “still loves Nist”, and said, “I still love this person. There’s no doubt in my mind, I still love her. I pray for her every day.”
Exes said they have had premarital sex and would recommend it to others, adding that they didn’t want to discourage anyone else from a second chance at love.
“I don’t think we can tell you how many people have told us that this has given them a lot of hope. We wouldn’t want that to change for anybody,” Nist said.
Just hours after that joint interview, Turner made the separation official when he said filed for divorce,

“When you get to this age, every moment is precious and you don’t want to waste it,” Turner told ET. “Now we have a date we can look forward to, not every day we had to keep a secret. It’s a completely different mindset.”
Nist said she still can’t believe it. “I was prepared for this experience and the opportunity to get married again, but who would have thought? It’s amazing. It’s unbelievable,” she shared.
Despite the split, Turner and Nist’s families be very friendlyAs Nist’s daughter, Jen Woolston, shared a photo of the then-blended family, praising Turner in her caption. Then, one of Turner’s daughters, Angie, responded in the comments section with similar sentiments, leading Jen to extend an open invitation to Angie in New Jersey.
