Tom Brady Gives Kids Sweet Shout-Out at Patriots Hall of Fame Ceremony

“Your dad loves you more than anything in this world,” Brady said with a smile. “Your smile outshines the morning sun. And the sun shines very brightly where I live now.”

“There has been no greater joy than watching you three grow and teach me the things to become incredible young adults,” Brady said.

During his speech, Brady said it was “good to be home” and that he was “overwhelmed with a deep sense of gratitude and honor.”

“Relationships are built on shared experience, and the most meaningful things in my life are my relationships,” Brady told the cheering crowd. “I wish I had more time. I wish I had more time to give to all of you. So, how do I sum up the two decades I spent in New England into a short speech? The answer is simple: You can’t.”

“Hey, Dad, we’re all so excited to be back in Boston this week, and I thought it would be fun to look back at all those amazing years as a Patriot,” Vivian said in the sweet clip.

“My kids surprised me with this video this morning, and I wanted to share it with my Patriots family too,” Brady wrote in the caption of the post. “What a ride. See you tonight New England.”

Brady spoke with ET’s Kevin Frazier on Wednesday morning, And he shared some sweet comments about his kids and being a father.

Brady said that of all the accomplishments in his life — and he has had plenty — being a father is one of the most rewarding roles he has played.

“There’s nothing that makes me happier than being in these kids’ lives and watching them grow and mature,” Brady said. “And I love it when they’re with me and I love it when they’re around what I do. These kids make every day of my life better.”

Brady was selected by the New England Patriots in the sixth round with the 199th overall selection in the 2000 NFL Draft. He led the Patriots to six Super Bowl victories in his 20 seasons with the team before playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020. Although he eventually retired after three seasons with the Florida NFL team, Brady is considered one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history.

The Patriots also removed the traditional requirement that a player must wait four years before being inducted into the team’s Hall of Fame. They called him an important member of the Patriots dynasty. He is the 35th Patriot to be inducted into the team’s Hall of Fame.

“Awesome,” Brady told ET when asked what it meant to receive the honor. “This journey started right here 24 years ago and I saw so many of my teammates last night. I would say overwhelmed, that’s probably the only word that can describe it… It’s a very unique moment for me. It’s a great celebration for all of us tonight. It’s really not about me. It’s about us and our teams and what we accomplish together. It’s going to be really special tonight.”
