Trista Sutter reappeared after her husband, Ryan Suterhad raised concerns about their relationship through a number of cryptic social media posts.

“OMG people. Can’t a girl here just have a nervous breakdown/trial separation/midlife crisis/death/divorce in peace?! 😜🤣,” Trista, 51, joked on Instagram on Saturday, May 25, alongside a photo of herself at the beach with her husband and kids.

“Seriously, for those who are concerned, I am safe and healthy, happy and well, in love and grateful. 🥰. For those who want to focus on being critical and exploring too much of the darkness, best of luck. 🙃,” Trista wrote. “An opportunity for perspective and personal growth presented itself and with the unconditional support of my family and friends, I chose myself and my well-being, knowing that my stay-at-home mom job and my children’s end-of-the-school-year needs were in the best, most capable hands.”

She also admitted that Ryan’s post about his absence drew a lot of attention. “My husband who usually chooses privacy over posting, decided to share his love for me in messages that I would receive on my travels,” she explained. “We treat Instagram like a digital diary. Most of the time, the world doesn’t pay too much attention. This time, he couldn’t say anything properly and nearly every news outlet picked up his ‘mysterious/confusing/attention-seeking/dramatic’ photos and captions. For me, they gave me exactly what I needed words of affirmation of my love language to pull me out of some serious self-doubt and fear… and that’s what’s most important. He doesn’t owe anyone an explanation or need anyone’s permission for what he wants to post and share. 💯.”

Still, Trista hasn’t been able to share much information about where exactly she went just yet. “If you want to know the rest of the story, I will share that in due time. For now, it’s back to our regularly scheduled schedule – from a beach in Mexico! 🇲🇽 🏝️🤿 After all, nervous breakdowns and isolation require much-needed rest and relaxation! 😎,” she concluded.

Sometimes it’s important to exemplify the characteristics you teach — by doing rather than saying. Sometimes they need to be uncomfortable and scared to show them that it’s okay to be uncomfortable and scared. Sometimes you have to walk away so they know you’ll be back, that your love isn’t limited by distance or difficulty or time. Sometimes you have to do what you have to do sometimes. We’re so proud of you Mom Pajamas, for all you do for us, whether it’s near or far. Happy Mother’s Day!!!”
