U.S. Advisory Commission on Public Diplomacy – United States Department of State

The American Advisory Commission on Public Diplomacy (ACPD) will hold an in-person public meeting with online access on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, from 12:30 pm to 1:45 pm. The meeting is open to the public including the media and members and staff of government and non-government organizations. Congress created the bipartisan ACPD in 1948 to evaluate U.S. government activities for the purpose of understanding, informing, and influencing foreign publics. The Commission conducts research that provides honest evaluations of public diplomacy efforts and disseminates findings through reports, white papers, and other publications. It also organizes public seminars that generate informative discussions on public diplomacy issues. The Commission reports to the President, the Secretary of State, and Congress.
