Union Minister JP Nadda discusses 100-day action plan for MoHFW – ET HealthWorld

New Delhi: A day after taking charge as the Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, JP Nadda (also the current President of the Bharatiya Janata Party) attended a meeting with top officials of the ministry to discuss the government’s 100-day plan. Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Friday.

The 100 day plan includes the launch of the following National Health Claims Exchange (NHCX), a national campaign against ‘tobacco’ use, especially among youth and adolescents ncd (non-communicable diseases), and deployment of Arogya Maitri Disaster Management Cube-BHISHM(revolutionary mobile hospital equipped with state-of-the-art technology) and U-WIN portal for registration of children’s vaccination.

Earlier on Tuesday, Jagat Prakash Nadda took charge as Minister of Health and Family Welfare in the national capital.

Nadda was accompanied by Union Ministers of State in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Anupriya Patel and Jadhav Prataprao Ganpatrao.

After taking charge as the Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Nadda wrote, “Proud to take charge as the Minister of Health and Family Welfare under the guidance of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare plays a vital role in the progress of the country and the well-being of the people. As the backbone of the country, the health sector not only promotes public health but also stands as a strong force in addressing and overcoming health challenges.”

Currently, India’s healthcare system is globally recognized for its excellence, affordability and advanced infrastructure. This transformation has established India as a major destination for medical tourism around the world.

Nadda was the Union Health Minister in the BJP government from 2014-19. The party contested the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and several assembly elections under his leadership. He is currently a Rajya Sabha MP from Gujarat. (ANI)
