Uttarakhand Health Department issues guidelines to prevent dengue and chikungunya – ET HealthWorld

Dehradun: Keeping in mind the dengue and chikungunya patients in the state. Uttarakhand Health Department Guidelines have been issued to all the districts for their prevention and treatment. Twenty important points have been issued to District Magistrates and CMOs.

Health Secretary Dr. R Rajesh Kumar is continuously holding review meetings for the prevention of dengue and chikungunya. On the suggestion of health experts, the Health Department has issued guidelines for the treatment and prevention of dengue and chikungunya patients.

The Health Secretary said that dengue and chikungunya diseases have emerged as a major public health problem in the state for the last few years. dengue carrier and chikungunya disease aedes mosquito, The time from July to November is favorable for dengue virus infection. Dengue and Chikungunya diseases are mosquito-borne diseases which occur in water stored in coolers, vases, pots, open water tanks, old tyres, collected junk etc. Public participation is very important for the prevention of dengue disease.

The Health Secretary said that all other departments also have an important role in proper prevention and control of dengue and chikungunya diseases. All departments should conduct their activities promptly for prevention and control of dengue. All the departments should continue to carry out all the activities to stop the breeding of dengue mosquitoes so that the breeding of dengue mosquitoes can be stopped and the district health department should continuously get information about it.

Kumar said that for the prevention and control of dengue and chikungunya disease, block wise micro plan should be prepared and action should be taken and the said micro plan should be sent to the state NVBDCP unit. Sanitation campaigns should be conducted by municipal corporations so that the breeding of dengue mosquitoes can be prevented.

The Health Secretary said that all other departments also have an important role in proper prevention and control of dengue and chikungunya diseases. All departments should conduct their activities on time for prevention and control of dengue. (ANI)
