Two people were hospitalized after a small floatplane collided with a recreational boat in Vancouver — and the video footage is shocking … because the vessel is used as a ramp.
Just look at the chaos that unfolded on Saturday – a Harbour Air floatplane was preparing to take off when it collided with a boat because it failed to get up out of the water in time… and the impact was so severe that the boat first veered towards the plane and then began to sink.

By the way, there’s another angle to the impact, and looking at it from behind, it’s just as dramatic.
Emergency services were quick to respond to the incident, which happened around 1pm. Several boats from the vicinity also rushed to the scene to help.
With the aircraft fully submerged in the water, the Seabus crew immediately sprung into action and prepared to deploy the life raft – ensuring help could arrive quickly for those on board.
Thankfully, none of the passengers or pilots on board the plane suffered any injuries following the collision – however, two people on the boat were treated in hospital for their injuries.
A Harbour Air spokesperson said they were working closely with authorities to assist those affected by the collision.
The Vancouver Police Department says the area of the accident is considered reserved for seaplane operations — and a full investigation into the cause of the collision is still ongoing.
