The Colorado State Patrol reported our weekly on Tuesday, June 12, that the YouTube star, who was known as the Comixtorian, was “killed in a single-vehicle car accident” on Saturday, June 8. Potter was driving near Fort Collins in a silver Toyota 4Runner when he went off the right shoulder and continued to cross a frontage road before flipping the car “multiple times.”
According to the statement given to the police WePotter was wearing his safety belt but “sustained his injuries in the crash while arriving at the scene.”
Potter was the sole occupant of the vehicle and no other vehicles were involved in the accident. He was 40 years old.

While the cause of the crash is still under investigation, “there are no indications that vehicle failure or excessive speed was involved in the crash.”
Ben’s wife, Nathalie Pottershared the sad news through her husband X The account will be opened on Monday, June 10th.
“My husband Ben Potter has died in an unfortunate accident,” Nathalie wrote. “To many of you, he was the Comicstorian who gave voice to stories across many different mediums. To his loved ones, he was one of the nicest and most supportive people anyone could hope for. As a husband, a son, a brother, a friend, or even a stranger, Ben was loving and true.”
He further added, “He was someone who would listen to his loved ones and make time for them. He would try his best to make everyone laugh and make sure they were okay. He was a support to us and would reassure his loved ones whenever they needed it.”
Nathalie said Ben is “my world” and requested privacy from Ben’s fans as he grieves and they “preserve everything he has built.”

“We supported each other in everything we wanted to do, and I’m not going to stop now,” Nathalie wrote.
There were many online tributes following Ben’s death, including Straight Outta Compton‘S O’Shea Jackson Jr.

One of my favorite followers on YouTube thank you so much for your work man I was a huge fan of yours,” Jackson Jr., 33 — who is the eldest son of iconic rapper Ice Cube — shared Monday via X. “Prayers going out to his loved ones. Long live Ben Potter.”
Ben’s last YouTube video was published on Friday, June 7, just a day before his death.
