Lucknow: Allahabad High Court said on Tuesday NEET Candidates who accused him of Petition That NTA failed to declare his result and his OMR answer sheet was found torn Forged documents and NTA can take it legal action The decision in the case came after the National Testing Agency, on the direction of the Lucknow bench of the High Court, produced the original OMR answer sheet of the student, which was found to be correct.

Student Aayushi Patel claimed in her petition that the NTA sent her a message stating that her result would not be declared as she had failed. OMR Sheet He had also posted a video on social media in which he reiterated the allegations, creating a stir amid the ongoing controversy over claims of irregularities in the conduct of the undergraduate medical entrance exam NEET.

The petitioner had demanded that his OMR sheet be evaluated manually. He also demanded an inquiry against NTA and demanded that counseling for admission be stopped.

On June 12, a vacation bench of Justice Rajesh Singh had asked the NTA to produce the original records of the student.

In compliance with the order, NTA Deputy Director Sandeep Sharma presented the original documents of the student along with an affidavit.

After looking at the documents, the court found that the student had filed the petition on the basis of fake documents. The court termed it regrettable and said that NTA is free to take legal action in this matter.

The petitioner’s lawyer sought permission to withdraw the petition, which was accepted by the court.

NTA told the court that the decision to take legal action against the petitioner student has already been taken by NTA.

The court said that the petitioner has submitted fake documents, hence this court cannot stop NTA from taking legal action against the student.

Reacting to Patel’s video, which was shared by Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi among others, the NTA had on June 12 said her paper was still intact and it was a case of forgery on the part of the candidate whose actual marks were less than claimed.

“No torn OMR answer sheets were sent through any official NTA email, and the original OMRs are available, not the torn ones. Moreover, all the results are available online,” an official said.

Refuting the claims of incorrect result on social media, NTA had said, “With regard to the viral video of Ms XXX claiming to have received torn OMR answer sheet and discrepancies in scoring of NEET (UG) 2024, NTA clarifies that no torn answer sheet was sent through official NTA ID. The OMR answer sheet is intact and the marks are accurate as per official records…”
