Independence Day provides an opportunity to highlight the strong U.S.-South Africa relationship built on our two countries’ mutual commitment to democracy and human rights.
The United States reaffirms its dedication to cooperating with South Africa to improve the health of our people, foster deeper economic and commercial ties, and strengthen cooperation to ensure the security of our citizens and people everywhere Does. I hope we can also expand our cooperation to confront the threat and mitigate the effects of climate change.
